The Cortez Coalition is a community-led initiative committed to guiding responsible development that reflects the needs and values of the people who live, work, and visit our coastal region. As our area grows and changes, we advocate for planning that respects local character, reduces avoidable impacts, and prioritizes safety, accessibility, and environmental stewardship. We believe development should enhance—not overwhelm—the surrounding neighborhoods and natural resources that make this place special.
Working collaboratively with residents, businesses, and town officials, we promote solutions that balance progress with preservation. Our focus is on encouraging development of the old Seafood Shack area that improves long-term livability, supports economic vitality, and maintains the quality of life our communities deserve. Through transparent dialogue, research-based recommendations, and a commitment to sustainability, Concerned Citizens of Cortez Coalition (CCCC) strives to help shape a future that works for everyone.
